Obituary

Herbert G. Breon, 76, of Julian, Pennsylvania, died October 6, 2023, peacefully at home. He took his last breaths with his wife, Juanita, nearby. Juanita, along with the amazing staff and nurses at AseraCare Hospice, worked tirelessly to provide love, compassion, and around the clock care for him in his last month on earth.

He was born December 8, 1946, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, to the late Ibra and Adelene Breon. He was raised locally to central Pennsylvania along with four siblings. On March 26, 1976, he married his lifelong partner and wife, Juanita, (Taylor) Breon.

He worked at Cero Metal for many years prior to starting his own business, doing siding and windows on local homes. He loved car shows, auctions, yard sales and making trips to visit family. He was fond of attending nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and grandchildren’s sporting events alongside his sister. He enjoyed hunting and time in the woods and loved spending time at his family tent the week of the Grange Fair. He found joy in taking his children hunting with him at Colyer Lake and continued to hunt there for many years to come. Whatever the season in Herb’s life, he enjoyed spending time with his family. His time spent with his daughter, Angelique, meant a lot to both.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Breon, of Julian who you would always see side by side with Herb. Surviving are two children, Joesph W. (Rachel) Breon of PA Furnace, Angelique (Jamie) Hoy of Port Matilda; three grandchildren, Amber (Joshua) Catral; Teeona (Anthony) Misher of State College; Alex Breon of PA furnace; three great grandchildren Sofia and Haisley Catral and Quinten Misher. One sister, Joyce Watson, of Milesburg, and two brothers, Wayne Breon of Milesburg, Joesph L. (Anna) Breon, of Bellefonte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Breon, brother-in-law, Dale Watson (Joyce), and sister-in-law, Patty Breon (Wayne).

Friends and Family will be received from 3:30 to 4:30 Saturday, November 11^th, 2023, at Greater Valley Buffalo Run United Methodist Church, 1667 Buffalo Run Rd, Bellefonte, PA, 16823 to share memories, fellowship, and a service in honor of Herb’s life. All are invited to a meal immediately following the services.
